In Halston Heritage - Deepika Padukone.

Two things grabbed eye balls and made me like this look.

The semi - bouffant/pony tail hair that she sported all season is gone - and the Red lips were missing too!

The one shouldered Halston Heritage dress and black sandals looked good on Deepika, so was the half up and half down hair. You know what they say, Change; change is a good thing.

Wearing Stripes.

It’s been a while since I have posted some stripes sightings - out of laziness.

We had three very different looks over the last month; check them out to see if any of them are channelling your personal style.

Kalki went casual in abstract striped sleeveless T that she paired with white trousers and a Fedora, Rachel Weiss wore her stripes with leather skinnies and had an oversized blazer over them, Miranda had a loose fitting top paired with cuffed olive pants and a fitted leather jacket.

I'm in the Miranda compartment, I like how she layered and balanced the lengths, and the Pink CELINE Tote is the clincher for me here.

Wearing Red and Smoking Hot! Heidi Klum.

GASP!

Heidi Klum turned up the heat in Toronto at the launch of her perfume, in an all Red appearance.

The supermodel wore Michael Kors Fall 2011 body suit, trousers and an oversized blazer, and topped it with red lips.

I loved that she went bold with the color and didn't hold back. The clean lines of the outfit with the slicked back hair and stacked golden accessories. BIG BIG LOVE.

Fail! Madhuri Dixit

We do not have a full length picture of Madhuri at the Goa Indian International Film Festival, but what we see, we see enough.

From the sheer and silver tone blouse to the somewhat pageant -y hair, the look does nothing for the beautiful actress. I really wish she finds her style spot soon.

Bag Spotting! Sonali Bendre & Mandy Moore.

Casually dressed in muted grey and black combo were Sonali and Mandy.

What changed up the game for me were their arm candies. Sonali's look wasn't impressive till I got to the bag, anyone who carries a CELI'NE luggage for me has spelt cool for the last year and half and its going to stay that way.

Mandy carried a Red PS 11 medium bag, the coveted Proenza Schouler bag elevated the look, I loved it.

Charlotte Olympia Dellal at British Fashion Awards, 2011.

Designer Charlotte Dellal won the best accessory designer award for her namesake label Charlotte Olympia. 

The designer sizzled in a Vivienne Westwood sequinned dress and golden shoes from her label.

Casual Charm! Neha Dhupia.

Neha Dhupia attended the promotion of her upcoming movie ' pappu can't dance sala' dressed in a White dress (Wendell Rodrigues?).

Paired with blue beaded neckpiece and nude heels, and a blue thin waist, Neha looked good. The silhouette however, was not the most flattering on Neha, I think the flared skirt begins at a place where it makes her look a tad bigger than she usually seems, but takes nothing away from how well put together she looked.

PS: Not a huge fan of those shoes, now that I see the profile pic.

In Gucci - Charlize Therone at Gotham Awards.

Channelling a retro diva vibe was Charlize Theron at the Gotham Awards.

Dressed in a Gucci Spring 2012 dress, the outfit had a lot of things going on - A jaw dropping plunging neckline with no back, tiered sheer skirt and a golden embellished detail running across the lower waist.

Charlize went full on retro glam, styling the dress with golden strappy sandals, layered gold necklaces, an up do with a fun head band and punchy lips. Alexander McQueen clutch completed her look. BIG LOVE.

Sari Style - Farah Khan Ali.

While my angst against sheer saris worn with noodle strap bikini blouses continues, Farah was the latest celeb to go the same route.

It’s not the sari and blouse that I object, as much as the sheer lack of imagination when choosing the pair. Farah paired her outfit with gorgeous accessories, the emerald jewellery and green BV clutch were delish, but the sari was such a downer that I couldn't see beyond it.

Olivia Palermo at British Fashion Awards, 2011.

It was a Mathew Williamson dress for Olivia at the British Fashion Awards. The dress with its feather and embellished details was a statement, but Olivia -  known for her ability to mix and wear different prints - paired it with printed ankle booties from Top shop and a clutch by Charlotte Olympia.

I feel the look could have done without the print booties, but it does not take anything away from her look, she looked great.

Pretty in Pink? Sharon Phabhakar.

Sharon Prabhakar was spotted at the Olive wearing a salmon pink dress with light shirring at the waist.

Ankle strap heels aside, I think the singer looked good. The fit of the dress and color looked good on her.

Victoria Beckham at British Fashion Awards, 2011.

One of the reasons why I was looking forward to the British Fashion Awards was to see Victoria - I must admit. It’s been long since we have seen her in a gown and I was very curious to see what she will come up with.

The singer turned designer did not disappoint. In a cowl neck black gown with pleated skirt and a deep back from her label, Mrs. Beckham impressed.

Love the sophisticated up do and smokey make up and sans accessories look, I know many would have been tempted to add a bejewelled cuff.

Hot Mess! Ekta Kapoor.

Ekta Kapoor at a recent do.

From her inexplicable choice of footwear to the strapless gown with a drape detail that seemed to work as a shoulder wrap, nothing worked about this look.

She carried a tan Birkin, which is not shown in this picture.

Alexa Chung at the British Fashion Awards 2011.

British Fashion Awards was something that I was really looking forward to, especially after the fashion wise uneventful holiday weekend.

The darling of gamine style, Alexa Chung walked the red carpet in a Christopher Kane Spring2012 dress. I really liked the dress, with its embellished overlay that had a sculpted feel. We know Alexa is not one for elaborate hair dos and statement footwear, but the messy hair really pulled this look down.

FAB! Kangna Ranaut in Stella McCartney.

A weekend that gave us not many reason to celebrate in bollywood fashionwise, Kangna saved the day.

The actress, who attended Arjun Rampal's birthday bash was dressed in a Black jumpsuit by Stella McCartney, which she paired with metallic standard pumps and some smokey make up. The hair is changed up again (YAY) and the look was finished off with addition of metallic spiked cuffs.

Fail! Freida Pinto at Goa International Indian Film Festival.

I hate it when celebs who have built a reputation of being stylish dress up in a manner that questions their basic taste levels.

Freida Pinto, who has been making waves on the fashion scene internationally, was spotted attending the screening of her movie 'Trishna' in Goa, dressed like this.

There is nothing in this look that says stylish, the shudder inducing layered kurta, or the silk/satin churidar and the dated pink tassle knot - all contribute to this look getting an Epic Fail status. The hair and make up doesn't fare any better.

I had to look at the date of the picture again to reconfirm that I wasn't seeing a pre - Slumdog Millionaire picture of Freida. As the way looks, I'm not sure how she agreed to step out looking like that, considering her fashionista tag.

Wearing Leger - Gauri Khan & Suzzane Roshan.

At Arjun Rampal's birthday bash, both Gauri and suzzane went the Leger way.

I liked Suzzane's pairing of her yellow dress with the green clutch, its one of the few successful green /yellow pairings I have had on this blog.

However, wearing a legendary dress like this is almost a serious commitment, which I don't think Gauri understands. Her one shoulder has the fit all wrong, calling for attention to her girls. Suzzane, although fares better, does not rock the bodycon dress either. 

One needs to have a smashing toned body to wear a Herve Leger bandage dress, if not, should be mindful enough to wear spanx underneath it, perhaps?

Celeb Travel Style - Fergie & LeAnn Rimes.

One of the most searched sections on this blog is the 'celeb Travel Style', and with a reason, since our celebs seems to be pioneering the art of turning out stylish at Airports across.

Fergie was spotted at LAX giving off some serious colorful vibe, her white skinnies worn with printed top and red blazer was both stylish and fun. Fergie completed her look with t strap heels and an oversized tote by Celine.

LeAnn Rimes matched her bag to her outfit, dressed in a purple fitted sweater by Isabel Marant, suede boots and fitted blue denims, the singer looked chic. Pulled back hair and a Lanvin bag finished off her travel look.

Promo Style - Deepika Padukone at Desi Boyz Promotion.

In what seems like a never ending promotional series for their movie, Deepika Padukone was spotted with her fellow actors in yet another promo event.

Dressed in a metallic sequinned top and black fitted skirt, the actress completed the rest of her look with glitter pumps and a bouffant.

I was a bit puzzled that both Deepika and Chitrangada wore sequinned outfits for a day event, till I saw pictures of them attending a special screening in the night in the same outfits.

In Marchesa - Jessica Szohr.

It’s been a while since I have had a post featuring the 'Gossip Girl' actress.

Dressed in an embellished Marchesa blue dress with ballooning sleeves, this dress is a bit different from the frothy, dramatic Marchesa creations that one is usually accustomed to. Jessica paired the look with champagne colored peep toe pumps and a sleek bob.

Bag Spotting! Desi Boyz special screening.

At the Desi Boyz special screening, we spotted the attendees sporting some serious arm candies.

Sunita Kapoor carried a Hermes Kelly, Rhea Kapoor sported a multi toned Reed Krakoff Boxer Tote (earlier spotted on Sonam during 'Mausam' promotion) and Sonam Kapoor was carrying a quilted Chanel bag. 

Both Ameesha Patel and Seema Khan were seen totting yellow Bottega Veneta woven hobos.

One Girl, two looks. Chloe Moretz.

In the last few months, Chloe Moretz has been creating quite a buzz on red carpet.

Last week, the upcoming actress has been spotted doing two very different looks, walking the red carpet in a dramatic Dolce & Gabbana and a striped Proenza Schouler top and shorts.

The dress with its ballooning skirt and arranged bow details was dramatic enough but I would have much preferred it on someone who had the heights and attitude to carry it off. It weighed down the young actress while the yellow striped shorts and contrasting buttoned up top highlighted the fun element and brought in playfulness.

Theme Red - Esha & Genelia.

For both Esha and Genelia, red was the theme while attending the Colgate MaxFresh Party.

Spotted in Red dresses, who do you like better?

For me, Genelia's dress with nude studded panels and nude pumps worked better than Esha's red lips and leopard print and red heels combo.

Anushka Sharma - In Stella McCartney.

For the promotion of her movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Anushka Sharma was spotted wearing the Stella McCartney Octavia dress.

Internationally, we have seen many successful outings of this dress by celebs like Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz (posted earlier on this blog), Kate in fact wore two versions of the dress!

Coming back to Anushka, while the dress looked good on her, I hated how the look was styled. Wearing the dress with flats wasn't a good idea, the dress was begging for some heels. But what really didn't work for me was the limp hair, such a downer it was.
