Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet in support of her partner for his movie promotion in Japan.

The actress chose a hot red cocktail dress from Atelier Versace, which she combined with nude pumps and red lips.

We are so used to seeing elaborate gowns from Atelier Versace, and stars go for looks that grab the eyeball at promotions, that I was left underwhelmed for a moment.

Angelina looked good; the simple silhouette isn’t boring thanks to the color and the zipper detail in the back.

Angelina Jolie attended the Premiere of the movie ' The Tree of Life' in a stunning Atelier Versace gown.

The gown had fabulous details and drama for a red carpet like Cannes - A huge bow at the waist and big ruffles that extended all the way to the back.

My joy at seeing the gown was over the moment I saw Angelina's hair. I can not imagine how anyone could wear such a delish gown with such uninspiring hair do (If one can call it that). Very underwhelming.
