Heaven knows i adore Keira Knightley for channeling a simple Chanel Black dress so well. Less is more in this case.

Apologies for not posting a photo of Kiran Rao alone - i couldnt find a better picture.I think she carries off this voluminous long anarkali with total ease and doesn't let the whole suit overwelhm her petite frame.

No one can do easy California vibe than Jennifer aniston. I'm loving the structure on the dress and head to toe black.

Jessica Lowndes shows us how to do pink and black without overdoing pretty in Nanette Lapore dress and black accessories.

Velvet is the most difficult garment when it comes to defining shapes, hence most likely to fail on red carpet. However, Felicity is right on the money with the color and styling. Love the updo hair, Black shoes and Silver clutch.

Must Have(s) - Little Black Dress

Coco Chanel's fashion foresight and style saviour of millions of women across the Globe..

intended to be long-lasting, versatile, affordable and accessible to the widest market of women disregarding social status and financial boundaries, an elegant black dress is THE MOST ESSENTIAL wardrobe staple.

Its that one outfit that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion complimenting no matter what your body shape is and let you work what you have got.

This post, has tried to bring in as many Silhouettes and body types as possible. I have tried to exclude gowns since they arent everyday for most of us. Do pay attention to the accessories and hairstyles these celebs have paired with for ideas on how to spice up your look.

Remember, no matter what your body type is, there is always one LBD that would fit you like a dream and make you feel like a million bucks. And there are no rules to play by - except to go with a dress thats your size, not a size shorted or bigger and  HAVE FUN...
