Instant Love! Julianna Margulies.

My first thought was, Wow!

Whichever style switch did Julianna turn on when she chose this look; I think she needs to do it more often. Attending 'Tonight with Jay Leno' the actress channelled pure charm in a black fitted blouse with a full skirt with golden hounds tooth print ( both by Carolina Herrera)

The silhouette of the three quarter sleeved blouse and A - line skirt was simple, yet genius on her, pairing it with parted chignon, red lips and black pumps - Fab!

Who got it Right? Amrita Puri or Sonakshi Sinha.

For their recent appearances, both the actresses chose similar silhouettes, tucked in sleeveless, feminine tops with wide legged trousers.

Similarity ended there, while Amrita got it just right with the styling, Sonakshi was a hot mess. The white tucked in top and flared trousers failed to bring any structure, and the poker straight hair didn’t help the matters either.

In comparison, loved Amrita's blush tone top and solid trousers; the pulled back hair, case clutch and metallic neckpieces totally worked.

Red hot in couture! Sarah Jessica Parker.

On the first leg of her movie promotions in Moscow, SJP gets the style memo bang on, first the Prabal Gurung and then the Giambattista Valli Couture ( Prabal appearance came after the GV, but I was waiting for better pics)

The actress wore the Fall Couture gown majestically, not leaving out the drama the gown required, and carried the voluminous pleated gown effortlessly. It’s a gown that is borderline drama, and SJP worked it made it look regal, what with the cape, fitted bodice and pulled back half tied hair.

LBD FAB! Sophie Chowdhry.

Sometimes, it’s just a matter of wearing a simple look and wearing it well.

A little black dress with sheer neck detailing, worn with BV knot clutch and statement peep toes in graphic detailing, Sophie looked great.

LIKE.

Smoking Hot! Kelly Rowland.

Giving a run for every fashionista that walked the MTV VMA was Kelly Rowland, in a stunning Falguni & Shane Peacock creation.

The black and gold embellished gown with leather, piping and feather accents was jaw dropping and suited Kelly's skin tone to the T. Studded Louboutins and a case clutch with hardware detailing, she was on my list of the best dressed and leading by a huge margin.

The Yin and Yang of Fashion! Priyanka Chopra.

Oh Ms. Chopra.

Why do you like to play yo yo with fashion so? So fabulous you looked yesterday in the lovely and charming pink James Ferreira dress! To go from that to this in a day, Why?

The yellow jumpsuit (or whatever that garment is supposed to be) with the silver belt and strappy heels does nothing for the actress. Nothing. The less said on the hair and make up, the better. Honestly, it’s so disappointing to see such a beautiful girl so badly styled.

Instant Love! SJP in Prabal Gurung.

Trust Sarah Jessica Parker to pick the perfect dress, perfect silhouette, and perfect print and THE perfect designer out there!

SJP showed off some killer style in Moscow at the photo call of her movie, dressed in a graphic printed Prabal Gurung dress with the cleverest of details. The red piping (for want of a better word) running under the bust across both the elbows gives her the most amazing shape, along with the white boat neck.

Capped Ferragamo heels and soft parted waves completed this look, and I'm in love!

Time to start saving up for a Prabal Grung dress, don't you think?

FAB! Beyonce at MTV VMA, 2011.

A stunning Beyonce walked the arrival red carpet at MTV Video Music Awards dressed uncharacteristically in a draped gown.

The soon mom -to-be was magnificent in a saffron Lanvin draped gown with layers of drapes, which she paired with very feminine make up and soft sideswept do.

Congratulations!

Suiting up! Deepika Padukone

Taking on the man trend was Deepika, at the Maxim cover launch last evening.

Dressed in an all white trousers and fitted waistcoat with black panels, Ms. Padukone looked chic. I'm glad she is changing it up!

FAB! Twinkle Khanna.

Dayum! Not sure how I missed out on this one!

Mrs. Kumar looked uber chic and Fab at Neelam Kothari's store launch in Grey top and dark blue denims worn with a Navy blazer. One known to have an almost unerring eye for accessories, Twinkle was bang on with golden bib necklace and golden heels.

Needless to say, the Prada tote added the right punch, so did the centre parted, pulled back hair.

Vintage Love! Sonam Kapoor & Dita von Teese.

That both these ladies have a soft spot for vintage is no secret.

Dita was spotted wearing this floral print dress with retro styling in LA recently, and I loved the look. The green heels and white bag with pink head piece compliments the dress to the T.

Making an appearance on the Taran Adarsh show in a Vintage Hanae Mori wrap dress and black Zara pumps, Sonam worked the dress, side parted straight locks and hoop ear rings completed her look. I have been very excited about the promotion of 'Mausum' to see Sonam's style choices and she sure hasn't been disappointing.

Celeb Travel Style - Fergie & Rani Mukherjee.

Its time for some travel glam folks, this time around from two parts of the world.

Fergie showed off her stellar flight style in a Balenciaga printed top, caramel pants and a black Celine Bag. I loved the top knot hair, its chic and flight friendly, Fergie had the look pat down.

Rani was spotted in Mumbai, dressed in an oversized white top, pink denims and a Prada Tote. I think the colored denims were a nice touch, its a change from the blues and the Bollywood's favourite tracks.

FAB! Zoe Saldhana.

After the not - so - exciting Balmain look early this week (wow, it hurts me to say that) Zoe bounced back, with a knock out look no less.

The salmon pink Valentino sheath dress looked fabulous on her, the tone making her skin stunning, the knot at the waist adding visual interest to an already gorgeous dress and the nude accessories, hair and make up bang on.

What’s not to love!

Doing Color - Amrita Arora.

In an event where almost everyone kept to neutrals, Amrita gave us an eyeful of color, in a good way.

At Neelam Kothari's store launch, Amrita wore a pink shirt dress with orange piping details. What elevated the look for me were the accessories - the Bottega Veneta hobo and multi colored heels (Tabitha Simmons? Please say yes) - but going by past exp, they are more likely to be Choos :(

Grey love! Sonali Bendre.

At Neelam Kothari's store launch in Mumbai, Sonali wore an all Grey jumpsuit, which she accessorised with a heavy hand - the black belt which wore like a sash was so uncalled for.

Aside from the unfortunate belt though, she fared better in the accessory department, the Goyard bag and Tory Burch shoes helped save the look fare a tad better.

The Ferragamo girls!

Emma, Eva, Minka.

Separates, Blue halter or LBD? or all of them? Do you have a fav?

For me, Freida stole the show, followed by Emma.

I love all three shoes though. punchy contrasts are here to stay, then.

A bag story, Sonam Kapoor.

During the promotions of her movie 'Mausam' Sonam Kapoor made an appearance at a radio station in a low on glam but high on style look.

Sonam's all white and black look was right up her style alley, the white bow blouse complimenting the black trousers with relaxed suspender details. What turned up the switch for me was the black and White Reed Krakoff Boxer bag; I have been obsessed with it for a while.

In Salvatore Ferragamo - Freida Pinto.

Every time I see a Freida appearance, I think she just keeps getting better and better - style choices wise.

At the Ferragamo event, she chose a dark blue dress with one sleeve drape details with accents of gold, and styled the overall with the same details.

I loved how the look came together, the chignon, blue and gold accessories and the make - up.

FAB! Anne Hathaway.

Not a wrong step in the bad fashion direction seems to be Anne's motto in the recent times; the last appearance was no different.

Dressed in a white Alexander McQueen dress which she paired with white and gold accessories, Anne remained true to her style sense, elegant, feminine and very very approachable chic.

Loved the side swept hair and addition of McQueen clutch. You Go Girl!

Shilpa Shetty - At NY Film Festival.

Shilpa Shetty attended the New York Film Festival dressed in a Tarun Tahiliani sari.

The pre draped look with a belted waist is something that we have seen on Shilpa before by the same designer, but the look failed to impress from waist up.

The black belt and draped pleats looked great on the actress, but the corseted bust with one shoulder drape and sheer overlay with embellishments just didn't cut it, not this time.

In Balmain! Zoe Saldana.

Oh No!

Was the first thought, upon seeing Zoe. I have always loved that she is fashion forward and often lends her personality to most of the outfits that she chooses for appearances and carry them off with panache.

This time around though, the stunning Balmain dress with the most delish details let her down, thanks to the white train around the hips. Every time I look at it, I want to yank it off!

No too excited about the cage booties either.

More Orange? Scarlett Johanson & Dia Mirza.

Chasing away my monsoon blues in bright tangerine were Scarlett and Dia in two parts of the world, albeit in very different looks.

Scarlett chose a form fitting Roland Mouret dress and nude pumps; we have seen her wear the label many times before. In this instance though, I did not like what it did to her figure (may be I have the wrong pic). Dia on the other hand, dazzled in a Marc by Marc Jacobs dress and off white heels.

Welcome Change! Katrina Kaif.

Having spoken enough on Katrina's penchant to appear 'In Character' for her upcoming movies, or fitted satin gowns - it was refreshing to see her take another route.

The navy dress with a clinched waist and black blazer was just what the doctor ordered - kudos to the actress for pairing the two solids and wearing it well and keeping the rest of the look clutter free.

PS: Don't you think the pulled back hair totally works with this look?

Overwhelming print, underwhelming look.

Olivia Palermo disappoints in this printed Tibi trousers/top combo with studded heels.

Add her signature bib neckpiece which is lost somewhere amongst the busy prints and the case clutch with studded details, its time for me to say, this one is not for me.

Color me, color me not. Julianne Moore.

Julianne Moore is one who always speaks her style language, and is often a standout for her individualistic style.

Last week, her red carpet style was an elegant and interesting Jason Wu black dress with an oversized bow detail. The look was completed by addition of Tabitha Simmons heels and a very lady like up do.

Last evening, she mixed it up totally by going the color block way, wearing a multi color Bottega Veneta sheath and ankle wrap shoes. I love the fun vibe of this look and thankful that unlike most of the Hollywood A listers, she embraces fashion, color and style.

Glitter Galore! Kareena Kapoor.

At the Lakme event, Kareena Kapoor played it part - safe and part - glam in an embellished dress and black pumps.

The relaxed sheath with draped shoulders were a welcome change from the fitted silhouettes that we often see on Bollywood company ( save for Sonam, Neha & Kangna) but Kareena stuck to her comfort zone of straight hair.

I think she looked good, and really wish she could change up her hair a bit.

FAB! Zoe Saldana.

Does it pour when it rains?!!

In the second Prabal Gurung sighting in the last two days, Zoe Saldana rocked yet another look from his last collection and I absolutely loved it!!

The white T shirt with embellished shoulders, pink top and green skirt with light ruching was dreamy and Zoe did total justice to it.

BIG BIG LOVE!

PS: Zoe is carrying a McQueen clutch.

Vintage Vibe! Sonam Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor was on 'KBC' to kick off the promotions of her upcoming movie ' Mausam'.

In my last 'Mausam' related posing of Sonam, I did mention how I'm looking forward to the promotional series. Sonam didn't disappoint, she wore a Collette Dinnigan dress which almost shouted 'VINTAGE' with a full skirt and embroidered bust.

Sonam's footwear choice was a bit of a let down, the Giorgio Armani flats seemed tad too casual, I wish she had opted for shoes with more retro feel.

Love the cascading curls and red lips.

Diane Kruger - In Prabal Gurung!

We haven’t had a Prabal Gurung sighting for ages, and who better than Diane Kruger to be spotting the designer at the Tiffany & Co dinner!

Diane looked fabulous in a fashion forward golden tulle embellished dress with an almost sheer skirt.

Soft make up and hair and non intrusive black heels kept the focus on the dress.

Beautifully Blue? Amrita Arora.

Amrita Arora was one of the front row fashion attendees at the LFW Finale of Manish Malhotra.

Dressed in a strapless faux pleated maxi by BCBG, Amrita was almost on her A game - thanks to the clever accessorising. I loved the addition of the collar neckpiece and gold clutch. The cuff? Not so much. But let me not nitpick and say Amrita looked good.

In McQueen - Again! Catherine Middleton.

The recent sighting of Kate Middleton had two features that are fast becoming a fashion staple for her. Navy color and Alexander McQueen.

The navy inspired look was event appropriate, style forward and very chic - Big Like!

In Manish Malhotra - Katrina Kaif.

After what seemed like a million 'in character' teeny bopper gone rocker look, Katrina went the traditional way at the Manish Malhotra way, and I for one really liked it.

As far as the outfit went, it wasn't path breaking, but the actress wore it well and carried it off just fine.

In Victoria Beckham! Neha Dhupia.

Neha Dhupia brought some jaw dropping awesomeness to LFW when she attended the closing show by Manish Malhotra.

Ms.Dhupia rocked the traffic stopping red dress, which she paired with a black clutch and Ferragamo heels. The minimalist in me was in two minds about the kundan necklace, me thinks it distracted from the great neckline and figure flattering cut, but the necklace took nothing away from how fabulous she looked.

Better pics coming up, but I just HAD to post this.

Missing the Mark? Simone Singh.

One to have definite voice through her style aesthetics, Simone is one Indian celeb who usually gets it bang on the fashion mark.

At this fashion week however, she seems to have more misses and hits, the oversized look somehow seemed to overwhelm her in both the appearances, here’s wishing she gets her mojo back real soon

Wearing the Same! Lady GaGa.

Well, I don't usually feature Lady Gaga style here because, what’s stylish in Gaga land is mostly not in our part of the fashion world.

Gaga has been changing it up a bit and looking almost devoid of Gaga drama (relatively speaking) of late. One such appearance was this sighting in a neutral tone dress by Tom Ford, with structured hips and shoulders.

If the dress seems familiar, Emma Stone was seen in the same dress in Black few weeks ago at her movie premiere. To see Emma's look, see here.

Gypsy Vibe! Olivia Wilde.

Dayum!

This Olivia wilde sure knows how to turn on the style switch doesn't she?

The striped joie maxi paired with the leather jacket and fringed bag was a perfect street style look and I loved it!
