OH NO! SHE DIDNT!!!

I'm not even sure where Ms.Bijlanai was going with this. I get the black and white theme. I even get the white corset.

But I absolutely DO NOT get the pants; the shape, the length, the  white stripes, the asymmetrical hem and the shoes.

HOT MESS.

Best of Basics!

Cobie Smulders is showing that you don't always have to be dressed to the nines to pull of a great, put together look.

An all basics outfit - stripes T shirt, dark denims and a camel coat, Cobie is showing how it's done. I love that she paired black heels; it makes her legs appear longer and adds length to the frame. FAB!

Classing it up !!

Ms.Kardashian of short hems, countless extensions and leger tight dresses has just done a volte - face and I Super Love!

A full skirted little black dress and bow topped Louboutins with toned down extensions - she is a winner.

WHO WORE IT BETTER? Katie Holmes vs Brooklyn Decker

Both Katie Holms and Brooklyn Decker wore jumpsuits by Max Mara to their respective events.

Katie went with a muted brown suit and pulled back, soft hairdo. I wish she had worn a different pair of shoes than the pointy black ones.

Brooklyn Decker wore a fuchsia jumpsuit with a waist defining belt and red shoes. What did her in was the in built innerwear with the terrible fit. You would think a former Sports Illustrated cover model would know better.

I'm going with Katie on this one. How about you?

Rocking in Red? Kareena Kapoor

Kareena recently attended an event in a red drape gown, in what seems like a lame' base with red overlay design.

I think the color looks great on her, and the fit of the gown compliments her body. That's where it stops for me.

The extra fabric details gathered on the hip and the metallic sheen is stopping this gown from being a knockout, but my biggest gripe on this look is about the hair. I fail to understand Bollywood leading ladies when it comes to their obsession about poker straight hair featured in every movie, event or photo ops.

What do you think?

Looks we didn't love - Costume Designers Guild Awards

Hmm... In my defence, I did say there were some interesting looks - some we loved and some we did not.

One to get red carpet looks right almost always, something's off with this one of Demi's. The hair, make up, the drape on the lower skirt and bust - this,I don't love. There is a close up pic that will show the details of the damning hairdo.

A gorgeous woman - Diane Lane has given us some awesome red carpet looks in the past. This one though - I don't even know where to begin. From the sandals to the shapeless vintage dress and the neckpiece, the whole look is doing her no favours.

She is one of the trendiest and quirkiest Bollywood town girls, but this look of Anushas is such a let down. I can't get past the hair. To begin with, it looks like a wig that doesn't even fit or a bad extension /color job gone bad. BIG NO.

Looks we loved - Costume Designers Guild Awards

Although Vanilla Whiff is not into covering award shows, there were some interesting looks at the relatively low key CDGA that I wanted to post....

Kristin Davis is doing what she does best, looking breathtakingly pretty in this beautiful Oscar de la renta gown. Love the simplicity of the gown and the black sash waist detail.

Halle Berry is a knock out in this raspberry Elie Saab Couture Gown and doing 40s proud. Don't miss the lace pleats detail and gathered, figure flattering drape. WOW.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Roksanda Illincic dress does a little twist on the metallic and black combo. LIKE.

Brittany Robertson is keeping it short with two all times trends done well.Strapless red dress and metallic accessories. I do not have an Id on the dress - the clutch is Swarvoski.
