While most the attendees chose to go with uber feminine or dramatic gowns, Freida chose an edgy glam column Spring 2010 Chanel Couture gown with slight edge. She wore it differently from the runway - opting for a thinner tie and it worked.
I think she works the look, but I do agree it's a love or hate look.
