STREET STYLE - NY Fashion week 2011

While the looks that walk down on the runway are in focus,  its always fascinating to watch the streets to see what folks are wearing while covering or attending the event.

Here are some of the favourite looks from New York Fashion week – Fall 2011.

An all red ensemble complimented with black coat and animal print shoes - LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Pink maxi skirt and voluminous white fur with statement booties - a perfect example of seperates worn well.

Anna in a larger than life cherry blossom gold hat while leaving rest of the outfit in basic black. Dont miss minor details of gold buttons on the jacket and cuff, along with gold accents accessories.

Pairing two shades of greens with nuetrals, with brown shoes,a pop of blue at the neck and the result is street chic done well.

Girls gone neon.

Minxing prints( Polka dots and animal print) while keeping the rest of the look simple.

An inspiring vintage take by Karen Elson - the look is feminine, soft and happy.

Model Frida is totally channelling man trend - tailored jacket with wide legged trousers and platform heels for a casual vibe. Dark eyes and slick back hair helps give a slight edginess to the look.

This look is all about choosing one statement piece - a superbly tailored and sharp angled grey jacket - and build the rest of the ensemble around to compliment it. Big LOVE.

A very stylish take on basics done right - a crisp white shirt and all black look is complimented by adding a splash of red in way of wearing a red chapeau. One can do this without breaking the bank.

Rolled up red jeans, booties,a basis black t with a fur jacket - street chic mixing luxe.

Wide legged red trousers perfectly balanced by a fitted shirt and a long coat adds length without drawing attention to the stark contrast of the lengths of high waisted pants and tucked in shirt.
